Weight Distribution Shank with More Drop to Tow Trailer Level for Reese System
Question:
I have a WD shank hitch bar 63970 which I used on my GMC 1500. I bought a 2015 dodge 2500. I need a new shank to drop my trailer tongue 2 more inches. Which one should I purchase? Thank you for the help

Expert Reply:
The shank that you have now should have a maximum drop of 2 inches when used with a trunnion bar system or 1-1/4 inches when used with a round bar system. To get 2 more inches or more you can use # RP3215. It has a max drop of 5-3/4 inches with trunnion bars and 6-3/4 inches with round bars. It is adjustable up and down in 1-1/4 inch increments.
