Shank for Pro Series Weight Distribution Hitch to Tow Level

Question:

Thanks for your reply. I should have said drop bar. Here is a photo of what I have. It is set too low at present and it extends below and rearward more than necessary as well. It is one heavy chunk of iron.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by hitch bar; are you asking about the shank for your Pro Series weight distribution hitch and how high it should be? If you could specify I may be able to help you out.

It looks like you need a new shank and though you measured 22 inches to the top of your hitch you only need to measure to the bottom of your coupler; you did say the top of the coupler was 19 inches so it seems likely you'll need a drop in the 5 inch range to be level. The Pro Series Weight Distribution Shank # RP63971 will give you 4-3/4" of drop and the shank bar height from top of shank to bottom is 10-7/8". I've added a link to a video review of this product as well as a link to our selection of shanks to take a look at.
