Replacement Weight Distribution Head and Shank for Spring Bar with 22210E Marked on It

Question:

I have a used weight distribution hitch that came with my travel trailer. The only thing I can make out on the trunnion arms is the number 22210E. What weight limit is this? I would like to buy a new shank and hitch for it, but keep the arms. What shank and hitch would I need? Thanks.

I phoned my Reese Representative, who tells me the 22210E part number you provided comes back on an 800 lb spring bar used with the Reese SC Weight Distribution System, which has been discontinued. If this is indeed the system you have, the replacement head and shank are still available as part # RP54980.

The shank provided has a 6-1/2 inch rise or 1-1/4 inch drop when used with trunnion type bars (like the Reese SC used). If you need a different rise/drop, I've linked you to the rest of the shanks we offer. I've also linked to an FAQ article that will help you determine the rise or drop needed. You'd just purchase the head separately as part # RP58167.

If you'd like to go with a new trailer ball, we offer replacement balls. For a 2 inch ball, use # A-90 or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 ball.

I've also linked you to some FAQ articles that you might find helpful. I've also linked you to a video showing how to install/set up the weight distribution kit.
