would you possibly know what the wire color is for the cold side wire on a 1991 GMC 2500?

The cold side wire is often white, but to make sure you will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the brake switch wires. The key might have to be turned on for this test.

You will need the wire that shows power only when the brake pedal is pressed. When you release the pedal, it should not have power. And it should also not have power with the headlights or turn signals on.
