Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 Has No Power on Blue Wire w/ Brake Pressed In 2003 Monico Windsor
Question:
Can you explain how it works .. . .and I have it hooked up but can get a signal. When I press the brake there is no power out of the blue wire from the brake controler

Expert Reply:
Since the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller, # 90195, is a proportional brake controller which senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes, the blue wire would not have power unless the vehicle was moving. With this type of controller you will want make sure that the power level on the controller is set higher than zero and then test for power when the manual override is used.
If you still find no power on the blue wire, please send me an email and we can continue the troubleshooting process.
