Recommended Alert Systems For Front And Rear Of 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Question:
I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. There are blind spots due to back tire in the window and the parking spaces are getting tighter to get in and out of when out getting errands ! I want to put sensors 1 in front , 2 on both back sides and 1 in back to help me negotiate the city! Ha ha. I want the module inside because i wont be able to move housing around, and im not mechanically inclined. Could you tell me if i have any flaws in the Plan, and the best way to go about this ?

The Accele Electronics 4-Sensor Vehicle Backup Sensor System, BU500 you referenced is really designed to be used on the rear of the vehicle.
The installation is designed to work when the vehicle is shifted into reverse and gives you a visual at the rear of the vehicle from the included camera. If you placed a sensor at the front of the vehicle, you would receive mixed signals from the sensors. I have attached a link to an installation video for this system you can check out. The vehicle is different but the function of the system would be the same.
We do not have a system specifically designed for the front of a vehicle but we do have a solution that may work for you. Take a look at part # HM60100VA. This would mount behind your license plate on the front of your Wrangler. You would also need a power wire to run to the 12-Volt power source and install a switch like part # D16740. Then you could turn it on or off when needed. It has an audible alert to let you know when you are within 5-1/2 feet of an object or another vehicle. The alarm beeps more frequently as objects enter each of the 3 alert zones. I have attached a product review video for this system you can take a look at.
