Bar style friction sway control units such as # 83660 are not trailer or vehicle specific. On the trailer, the side of the frame will need to be clear 21 through 27 inches back from the center of the ball cavity of the trailer coupler. The bracket that mounts on the trailer end is 3 inches tall.

On the vehicle side you will need to use bracket # RP26003 with a ball mount. The friction sway control bar comes with everything else you will need.

The brake controller install harness on your 2017 Toyota Tacoma can be hard to find but the part #3031-P will fit it. If you check out the picture I attached you will see where a customer found the connectors in a Tacoma just like yours.
