What Connector is Needed For 2009 Chevy Silverado With Trailer Towing Wiring To The Bumper

Question:

I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado that did not come with a towing package. The truck is wired to the bumper. What part do I need to connect the wiring to the bumper.

On the 2009 Chevy Silverado with the wiring completed to the bumper. There should be a factory knock out plug on the rear bumper. To remove that cover, there should be a tab that you can depress and turn the cover counter clockwise. With the cover out of the connector you can then install the Pollak Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector for Chevy and GMC Vehicles - Vehicle End, # PK11916, and put that back into the bumper.

You should now be able to plug in your trailer wiring connector to this connector.

I am sending a video link of the installation of the Pollak Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector, # PK11916, on a 2009 Chevy Silverado.
