What Brake Fluid Should Be Used With Titan BrakeRite EHB Actuator For Disc Brakes
Question:
The Titan Brake Rite actuator calls out for DOT 2 in one section and DOT 3 in another section. I wanted to know if DOT 5.1 can be used instead without any issues. Brakes are Kodiak disc

I just called my contact at Titan and they told me that you should never use the DOT 5.1 fluid. They said if DOT 5.1 is used it will reduce the life of the seals in the unit by about 75 percent.
They told me that there is a typo in the instructions and DOT lll brake fluid should be used.
