Is there a photo of this hitch installed on a 2010 Prius ? Can I paint it?Please forgive my obvious lack of knowledge on mechanics

I have attached a photo showing the Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch, # 24847, on a 2011 Toyota Prius for you to check out. Unfortunately we do not have photos available of this hitch on a 2010 Prius, but this photo should give you a good idea of what the trailer hitch will look like once it is installed.

I have also linked you to the installation instructions and the installation video if you think that you might want to try to install the trailer hitch yourself. There is a small amount of air dam trimming, but other than that the hitch just bolts to the vehicle frame.

You would be able to paint the hitch, if you like. I would recommend using a good quality, rustproof spray paint. You will want to inspect the hitch about once a year to make sure that any exposed metal is re-covered with the rustproof paint.
