The sliding side brackets for the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13703 are 1/4-inch thick steel. The brackets have a black powder-coated finish to resist corrosion. This hitch offers a tongue weight rating of up to 350-lbs and up to 3500-lbs gross trailer weight depending on the strength of the RV frame and the installation method. This hitch is designed for use with RV-approved accessories only and these items need to be supported by a stabilizing strap # 18050.
