How to Install a Brake Controller in a 2012 Ford Van with a 4-Way Connector
Question:
I have a 2012 Ford E-150 XLT. I have already installed a brake controller and need to add the wiring for the hitch plug in. I purchased the 118261 connector then discovered my van only has the plug for the flat four 118260. Will I be able to use the brake controller with the flat four plug, or is there a way to adapt the van for the 118261 so that I can use the brake controller?

We have what you would need, but there's no way to run a brake controller through a 4-way and you wouldn't be able to use the # 118261.
Instead all you would need is the part # ETBC7. This comes with everything needed to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and wire in your brake controller. Check out the install video and instructions links I attached.
