Troubleshooting 7-Way to 12 Volt Power Outlet Adapter for a 2010 Ford F-150 Platinum Supercrew
Question:
I plugged this adapter, PK11896, into the 7 way on my truck and am not getting any power. Could it be in the wiring on my truck or is there a way to move the wiring around on the adapter?

Expert Reply:
I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 and test the 12-volt pin, located in the 1 o'clock position on your 7-way connector. Also, check the bottom pin which is the ground circuit.
I would also check your vehicle fuse panel and make sure that there are not any damaged fuses that could be causing this problem.
The wiring in the adapter # PK11896 wasn't designed to be altered.
