I have attached a link to the product page that lists the hitches we have available for your 2005 Silverado. You can use the drop down box to select the bed length at either 6-1/2 or 8 ft bed for a 2500 HD.

None of the hitches we offer for a 2004 1500 Silverado are designed to fit a 2005 Silverado 2500 HD.

The frames of the 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with short beds aren't going to be any different than standard beds or those trucks with hitches already installed, you just would not be able to install this hitch receiver as part of a dual hitch…
