Parts Needed to Install a P3 Brake Controller on a 2013 Ford Van
Question:
I want to install your ETBC7 wiring kit and a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 on my 2013 Ford E 250 cargo van 138 wheel base. Your etrailer video, Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2012 Ford Van........ Will these instructions/video work for my install using above mentioned equipment?

Expert Reply:
If your 2013 Ford Van did not come with a factory installed trailer connector then following the video, linked for reference, and following the # ETBC7 instructions will also work for your 2013.
First you would need to add a 4-Way, # C56020. then you would follow the rest of the ETBC7 instructions and the video.
If the van has a 4-Way trailer connector then you will need # 3034-P to plug in the brake controller, # 37185 to add a 7-Way, and some additional wire, # 12-1-1, long enough to reach from the brake controller blue wire (which will be removed from the end of 3034-P that plugs into the van and spliced to one end of the 12-1-1 wire) and ran manually to the blue wire on # 37185.
