Will the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II # BX88224 Fit a Hitch with a Lip Around Opening
Question:
Question concerning Blu Ox BX88224 2inch receiver immobilizer. I want to use this on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a factory installed 2inch receiver. This receiver has a 5/8inch wide rounded lip , approximately 3/8inch high, around the four sides of the receiver. Will the flanges on the Blu Ox go behind this raised lip to the vehicle side as opposed to the accessory side ? From one of the pictures it looks like they will, but I cannot find a dimension from the u-bolt closest to the receiver to the flange of the Blu Ox that contacts the actual receiver. As long as that distance is at least 5/8inch or greater it will work, but otherwise the flange of the Blu Ox will hit the rounded lip, and as that is not a flat surface it would not be stable.

The Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II # BX88224 that you referenced is actually designed for use on 2 inch hitches that have the lip around the edge of them that your hitch has.
Basically you would install this on your hitch with the smaller flanges of the product going on behind that lip and the larger lip will make contact with the ball mount.
