5th Wheel Trailer Rides High In the Front When Connected to a 2015 Ram 2500 4x4

Question:

2013 Forest River Cherokee Camper being pulled by 2015 Dodge 2500 4X4, trailer rides high in front- minimal clearance on rear axel to trailer, axels are mounted on the bottom of the springs...I raised the pin, and dropped the reciever all that I can...do you make a spring kit that will help my situation?

You covered the basic ways of adjusting the height of a 5th wheel trailer (lowering the hitch and raising the pin box). And since the axles are already below the leaf spring stacks there is one other thing that you can do to get more height at the rear. You can have the existing suspension hangers cut off and new, taller ones welded on.

We have several heights of hangers available and I have included a link to the hanger main page for double eye leaf springs for you. The cutting and welding should be performed by a qualified professional welder.

Other than that there are some hitches that go lower than others. Do you have a long or short bed? And do you have the factory 5th wheel prep package or industry standard above the bed rails to mount the hitch?
