I have a 1998 chevy silverado 2500 HD with a reading classic steal service bed and step bumper. Is this the correct hitch for me? Thank you

Since your 1998 Chevy Silverado 2500HD has a service bed on it currently that would indicate that
I spoke to my contacts at Curt and Reese and the only styles of hitches that can be made to fit a service body truck like yours are multi-fit RV hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916.
