Recommended 2-Speed Jack for a 34 Foot Gooseneck Flat Bed Trailer
Question:
I have a 34foot gooseneck flat deck trailer that came equipped with a set of tandem RAM jack with spring assist. They crank so hard all the time, I have checked the grease in them and have cleaned it out and put in a syn grease but they are about impossible to crank in cold weather. I was thinking of changing them over to a two speed bulldog jack. Do you think they will crank easier? And do they make a electric kit for the two speed jack? Thanks

I have a couple options for you but there isn't a electric kit for a 2-speed jack that we currently offer. The Bulldog powered-drive kit # BD1824200100 for a single speed jack is a solid option. To use this setup, you will need 2 single speed jacks like # BD1823050383 and the Bulldog powered-drive kit # BD1824200100 and the cross shaft # BDCS730300.
For a 2-speed setup, I recommend using the 2-speed tandem landing gear set # BD500153 and the cross shaft # BDCS730300. Having a 2-speed jack will make cranking faster and easier as long as they aren't near capacity.
I included an informative article about trailer jacks and video review of the Bulldog powered-drive kit # BD1824200100.
