Where is the best location for brake controller under dash on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo

There is no specific location for mounting a brake controller. It does need to be out of the way, but needs to be close enough that the driver can operate it easily.
Typically, a brake controller is mounted on the under side of the dash, preferably to the right of the steering column. You will want to make sure it is easy to operate while driving and that when you install the controller you do not damage any wiring behind the dash. I have attached a video that shows a brake controller installation on a 2012 Wrangler you can take a look at.
If you have not purchased a brake controller yet I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, part # 90195. This is one of our most popular because it is easy to install and operate.
If you have a 7-way connector at the rear of your 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee I recommend the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers, part # TK93VR. This simply installs by plugging one end into the back of the controller and the other end plugs into the vehicle brake control wiring harness located under the dash to the left of the steering column.
If you do not have a 7-way connector on your Jeep, you will need part # ETBC7. This will attach to your 4-way connector and with some additional wiring will give you a 7-way and a 4-way connector at the rear of your vehicle.
