Recommended Brake Kit to Change From Drum to Disc Brakes on a EZ-Loader 3,500 Pound Tandem Trailer

Question:

I have a ez-loader 3500lbs tandem trailer. That have drum brakes and oil bath hubs. Looking at changing to disc brakes but I still like the oil bath hubs. First what would be recommended system to replace my drum brake system and can I still get the oil bath hubs with the system. I use the trailer in both salt and fresh water.

I will still need to know:
-Bolt pattern of existing hubs (so they match your existing wheels).
-Wheel diameter (last number mentioned in your tire size).
-Bearing/Seal numbers. See the diagram I included. Would need measurements only if the numbers are not available and using a digital caliper is a must.
-Type of brake mounting flange. If you don't have a brake mounting flange, the most popular is the square, four bolt pattern.

The Titan # T4843300 kit will work with tandem 3500 pound axles, with # L68149 inner and # L44649 outer bearings and the grease seals # RG06-050. It's compatible with 13-15 inch wheels.

I also recommend the Kodiak XL ProLube kit # XLPROLUBE1980KIT (fits 1.98 inch hubs and seal for 1.72 inch spindle) as it will convert your trailer from grease to oil with your existing hubs. I still suggest using grease along with the bearing protectors included with the ProLube kit. You will still get the oil bath and each wheel will hold 2 ounces.

I included several helpful articles for you too.
