Trailer Hitch for a 2015 Buick Encore
Question:
does this hitch come with wire harness? I bought a hitch from summit and the harness came with it.

The wiring for a 2015 Buick Encore is # C56216 and won't be an included item with the Curt Class-I trailer hitch # C11527. The reason wiring harnesses do not come with the hitch is because some vehicles already have a trailer wiring harness so we make them available separately.
The hitch # C11527 comes with a complete hardware kit and instructions.
If you happen to need a ball mount and hitch ball, I recommend ball mount # C45520 and 2 inch hitch ball # C40018 or a 1-7/8 inch ball # C40001. Use part # F-4 for a pin and clip.
If you plan on using the hitch for accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier, you will need to ensure those accessories are rated for use on a Class I hitch. If you will be using a bike rack, a Class I hitch is limited to 2 bikes maximum. And Curt's warranty requires that you must use a stabilization strap such as # 18050 when using non-trailer loads such as a bike rack or cargo carrier.
I included a couple informative articles for you too.
