Can B&W 5th Wheel # BWRVK3600 Install in Ram Pickup and Ford F-450

Question:

Hello,I saw this fifth wheel and must confess that aside its capacity I really like its looks but one thing that I want to know is whether this fifth wheel is specifically designed for Ram trucks or if it can also be used on Ford trucks. Personally I love Ford trucks compared to other trucks because of their looks and body shape and the only thing that will make me consider a Dodge Ram is their Cummins engine which are powerful,I dont know if there are some Ford Trucks that has Cummins engine in them.I have the 2004 F 350 Super Duty Power Stroke Crew cab Dually Diesel and I am thinking of getting the F 450 Super Duty Crew Cab and Chasis and I want to know if I can install this particular fifth wheel on it and please by any chance do you know if some of these Ford Trucks has Cummins engine. Thanks and I look forward to hearing you asap as regards the subject matter. Very quickly,I want to say that you guys at etrailer are doing a very wonderful job not just about what you sell but being there for customers to be able to put what they buy to use with all the video clips and literature and also the promptness of shipping and getting items to customers on time. Truth be told,I have been buying from different companies but etrailer is very outstanding.I wish you the very best in what you do.

The B&W hitch you referenced, their # BWRVK3600, is designed specifically for Ram trucks that are equipped with the OEM 5th wheel towing prep package. This hitch will not fit industry-standard 5th wheel base rails that mount to the truck bed. For a B&W hitch for a 2015 Ford F-450 you would use B&W hitch # BWRVK3500-5W and installation kit # BWGNRK1111-5W. This install kit also doubles as a gooseneck hitch giving the F-450 the ability to tow both types of trailer.

For a large trailer a Cummins diesel is probably the better choice. These engines also tend to last longer than gasoline types. You will want to ensure your choice of truck has the towing capacity for the 5th wheel you intend to purchase.
