Why Doesn't Titan Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # RP45294 Fit in Ram 2-1/2 inch Hitch
Question:
I have a 2013 ram 2500 diesel with a 2 1/2 in reciver and this part dont fit. It comes in les than half an inch and it gets stock, had to get a hammer to get it out!

The factory 2-1/2 inch receiver on the Ram and Ford trucks have more rounded corners whereas the Titan pintle hook mounting plate, # RP45294 has corners that are more squared. As a result, they tend not to fit together unless you remove some of the powder coating on the shank of the mounting plate. Do not remove any of the metal, though, just powder coat.
A better fit would be # 45156 which has more rounded corners.
