Video Transcript for Furrion RV TV FUTVRS1-BL Review

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Furrion Unismart universal remote control. Now, this Unismart remote control will allow you to control all of Furrion specialty vehicle entertainment systems, TVs, and even their electric fireplaces, with just this one remote. Now, it does require two AAA batteries to power it. They are not included. You would have to supply those. And the length on this is about nine inches long, and about two inches wide.

But that should do it for the review on the Furrion Unismart universal remote control.

I can only 3 star this for 2 reasons. My trailer is still being prepared, although trailer is only 1 year old and was missing all the remotes, so I’ve not had a chance to try and program it to tv, stereo or fireplace. 2, I find it unacceptable that a brand new remote would not come with any kind of guidance like instructions. I am very pleased on the other hand on how quick I received it.

I am attaching an expert answer with diagrams on how to program your remote:

We were able to program the remote for the tv and stereo but were unable to get the fireplace working from it.

by:

The speed of delivery was great. I haven't tried it out yet. But there is no instructions on how to program remote included.

by:

Worked perfect on day one as expected .

5 stars. Works without any problems

by:

Customer service from etrailer was amazing. They helped me find the right product and then helped me find it when it was lost in the mail! Ultimately the service was so good they just sent me a new one since the first one got lost in transit.
The controller worked perfectly right out of the box with my trailer.
Thanks again

Delivery was swift. It was the perfect replacement for my Furrion travel trailer remote. I installed the batteries (not included) and it controlled the tv and stereo right out of the package. Nice!

It works perfectly!

It was hard to find information regarding the replacements for lamps in my Forest River MH. I only found the info on etrailer. I was reluctant to replace my slightly larger originals which began flickering with these which have a center on-off button. I ordered a couple from etrailer. The replacemets worked fine, were easy to replace. All remaining originals began to fail. I then ordered enough to replace all originals and replaced all originals when they failed. Replacements are still working fine. If your's begin to fail, consider ordering enough to replace all of your lights. Slight size difference is not noticeable from my slightly smaller originals. Individual on-off buttons can be a benefit but might be confusing to next owner because my lights also turn on off by named regions on a separate control.

by:

It's a little bit confusing at first because there's no instructions. Just keep hitting buttons.

I am sorry that it did not come with instructions. We do have the manual for the remote that comes with the Furrion televisions and the replacement remote will work the same way. Please see the link below.

by:

Great job!

by:

Same as original. Works upon initial trial.mSlow in getting.

by:

This was the perfect replacement for the remote for the Furrion TV/Stereo system included in our 2017 Keystone Cougar. All I had to do was pop the back off and insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), and point the remote towards the TV. There was no additional programming needed at all--FINALLY!! We have tried a couple of different remotes, but this was our Cinderella moment!

by:

The controller is much better than the credit card sized Furrion controller that comes with my RV's DVD/Stereo. Unfortunately, the Furrion Uniremote only works on Furrion products. While the remote works on my RV's Furrion DVD/Stereo, it will not control my RV's different brand TV which is a disappointment.

by:

This Remote worked right out of the box for my TV and the Entertainment system. No extra programming at all. Glad I found one that worked both units as well as a future fireplace if I decided to go that route.

by:

I have a Furrion DV3300S-BL that came with the credit card sized remote. I bought this remote hoping to make the unit more usable. Unfortunately, this isn't the answer for me. It doesn't work reliably, and not all the buttons work the features that they certainly should. For instance, the back button shows the message invalid key, while the forward button seems to work most of the time. I'm pretty disappointed, especially considering the ridiculously high price. You can buy a universal remote for less than ten dollars that would work better than this one.

by:

I ordered this remote in hopes of eliminating three remotes in my 5th. wheel. This one will operate the TV, stereo and fireplace. I haven't used it yet, but looking forward to an easy transition and one less remote to lose track of.

by:

The Furrion Unismart Remote, which we have owned for about a year now, works better than the original remote that came with the TV. Very good product.

by:

The remote that came with our Furrion was a POS, this remote made all the difference.

by:

Remote works perfect for the dv1100 stereo,, i do not have a furrion tv so wasnt concerend about that,, etrailer has fast shipping too,, very sayisfied and i would recomend this remote

by:

The two replacement remotes arrived as promised but it will be awhile before I can test them out, my 5th wheel (where these will reside) has been stored for the Winter.

by:

I needed a remote control for my camper stereo system. She knew exactly what I wanted and I received it 4 days latter. Great company to deal with, excellent service.

by:

I still haven't figured it out no instructions came with it

The Furrion remote part # FR34FR is designed to control Furrion TVs made after 2016 without any programming required. This is not a standard type of universal remote that would allow you to program it to work with other brand TVs like I believe you might be under impression of. If you need more information about the remote you can take a look at Furrion TV instructions.

by:

Worked very well on my 2016 Grand design camper. So glad that I ordered this remote ,much better than the remote that came with the camper, bigger and easier buttons to use. Works my radio and DVD player that are ferrion brand but will not work my TV due to it being a TLC brand. Buy this remote you won't be sorry!!

by:

Lost my remote for the DV3100 DVD player/stereo in my RV and haven’t been able to use it much. Remote worked immediately!!

by:

The remote was exactly what we needed to replace our Furrion remote that wasn’t working.

by:

Works perfectly. A great replacement for the original

  • Troubleshooting A Furrion RV Stereo Remote That Isn't Working
The remote for your Furrion DV3100 could possibly be defective but before tossing it you can try replacing the battery and then making sure the remote has a clear path to the sensor on the stereo. If the issue persists then it most likely is defective and would need to be replaced. Furrion doesn't offer this remote as a replacement item but does have a universal remote # FR34FR that will work with your stereo.

  • Is There Any Way to Repair Furrion FR34FR Unismart Remote Control
I remember those days! I spoke with my Furrion representative, it sounds as if your # FR34FR remote was damaged. Because the remote doesn't require any programming and is ready to use right out of the box, unless the batteries need replacing the only fix for this would be replacing the remote, I'm sorry to say.

Accessing the fire place controls on the Unismart Remote part # FR34FR is a bit tricky but allow me to break it down for you.... • Troubleshooting Lack Of Sound From TV Even When The Volume Is Turned Up
Hi Kim, The volume most likely isn't coming from the TV to the speakers, but from the TV to the stereo system and then to the speakers so I'd first make sure you're turning the volume up on the stereo as it's typically the power source for the speakers in an RV. If you're using the remote and the can see the volume increase/decrease then we know the tv/remote are communicating properly with each other. If you test the stereo volume and still have issues then the next step would be to...
