Can the Brophy Aluminum Scissor Steps # AS24 Be Installed on a Tailgate
Question:
Have a slide in pop top Four Wheel camper on a 09 F150 . Tailgate down with camper in, I have approx 10 inches to end of tailgte. Can I mount bracket within that spaceand what would the height need to be so the door can swing, Thanks

To use the Brophy Aluminum Scissor Steps, # AS24 on the camper you have in the bed of your 2015 Ford F150 you are going to need to remove the tailgate if you plan on connecting the steps to your camper because it would not be able to connect to your camper and also clear the tailgate. If you planned on installing the steps on the tailgate instead this would also work.
As long as the install bracket of the steps are installed below where the door swings open your door should open just fine. The bracket measures 1-1/2 inches tall. These don't store on the vehicle when not in use so you wouldn't have to worry about the ability to open the door of your camper while they are not being used.
