Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited without Factory Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and am adding towing. I have already purchased a Curt hitch from you and need to add a 7 pin wiring harness with a charge wire. Which one do you recommend?

I have everything you need to install a 7-way trailer connector on your 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited without the factory tow package. You will first need to install a 4-flat trailer connector. For this, I recommend the Tow Ready T-One Wire Harness, # 118416. This is a plug-in style harness that plugs into the connectors behind the driver's side tail light. I have attached the installation instructions and an installation video for you to check out.
Next, you will want to add a 4-way to 7-way adapter. For this, I recommend using our Universal 4-way and 7-way Install Kit, # ETBC7. This kit comes with all of the necessary wiring and hardware to install a 7-way trailer connector. It also comes with all of the wiring necessary to install a brake controller. I have attached an installation video of this kit for you to check out as well.
