Brake Controller and Installation Harness Recommendation for a 2007 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

my 2007 honda ridgeline does have the 4 pin for the trailer brake control. i can get the adapter and buy the trailer brake control. does the blue wire on the ridgeline go to the back of the truck since it has the plug under the dash for the brake control? I figured it should be located on the rear with the factory wire since it has a harness under the dash for this. please help

Sounds like your 2007 Honda Ridgeline has a factory 7-way installed in it. To install a brake controller in your vehicle all you will need is the correct install harness. If you went with a Tekonsha brake controller like the P2 part # 90885 all you would need to is the # 3070-P.

Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the built-in harness beneath your vehicle's dash. From there your vehicle's wiring will carry the signal back to the trailer connector.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885 that I mentioned previously. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
