Installing 7-Way Trailer Connector on 2007 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

DO you know if there is a 12volt wire that is already running from the battery to the rear of the vehicle so I can install your 7 way universal trailer connector? On the 07 honda ridgeline?

Unless the vehicle is equipped with the OEM 7-way (apparently it's not), the 12-volt circuit wouldn't be ran from the front of the vehicle.

You can run the circuit yourself using a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1. You'll need to run the wire through a 40 amp circuit breaker, part # 9510. You'll want to route the wire in such a way that it avoids anything that's hot or moving, like suspension, steering and exhaust components.

If you're wanting to install a brake controller, I'd recommend our Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. You'll also need a functioning 4-pole, which would be provided by the # 118400. The kit includes the adapter to convert the 4-pole into a 7-way, plus all the wire, circuit breakers and hardware you'll need.

For a brake controller, I'd recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. I'll link you to install details and videos for the # 118400 wiring harness and the # ETBC7 kit. The ETBC7 video shows the kit being installed on a 2007 Honda Pilot. The procedure on your Ridgeline would be almost identical.
