How to Install a Brake Controller in a 2014 VW Touareg with Factory 7-Way

Question:

Can you provide any information for primus installation in a 2014 VW Touareg TDI with a factory installed 7 pin harness? I understand from an owners forum, that substantial gauge wiring will be needed. Any assistance for an experienced RV/trailer guy would be great. I would really hate to damage a brand-new SUV.

To install a brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller # TK90160 in your 2014 VW Touareg that has a factory 7-way connector you will need to source a couple parts from a Volkswagen dealership to make an install harness.
