Can the Rackem double barrel trailer tailgate assist be installed on either side of the trailer?

According to Rack'em, their # RA-27C Double Barrel Tailgate Assist can be installed on either the drivers or passenger side of the trailer. It's usually mounted on the driver's side, because the passenger side is usually up against the curb, and the trailer is loaded and unloaded from that side.
