Brake controllers are universal items, so there are not really any diagrams available. Fortunately, we do have a video of a complete brake controller installation on a 2008 Toyota Tacoma. It shows not only how to install the brake controller, but also the 7-Way trailer connector at the rear of the truck.
In addition to the Tekonsha Prodigy, part # 90885, you will also need a 7-Way. We have put together a kit, part # ETBC7, that includes a 7-Way connector as well as all the wiring, connectors and components needed to install the 7-Way and the brake controller. You will see it featured in the video.
I have also included a link to a help page that walks through installing a brake controller from scratch.
