Today we're gonna take a look at the Shimano hub through axle adapter for the Thule bike trailers. This'll let you tow a Thule Cheetah, Cables, Chariot, or Coaster bike trailer with your bicycle that has a 12 millimeter Shimano through axle. It will work on axle lengths of 172 millimeter or 178 millimeters. This does replace the rear axle on your bike so that you can install the bicycle trailer's easy hitch to it, and it does work with the Thule One Child and Two Child bike trailers. A few specs on this, the thread pitch on this end right here is 12 millimeters by 1.5 millimeters. Axle length it'll fit on is 172 millimeters or 178 millimeters.

When you use it like this, it'll be designed for 178 millimeters, which is measured from here to here. If you wanna use it for 172, you just put this six millimeter adapter on and then it'll work on the 172 millimeter axles. And the other nice thing is that if you don't know the length of the axle you have on your bike, on the box that this part comes in, you can see that it has a layout that you can lay your axle once you take it out on here, and it'll show you what length it is.That should do it for the review on the Shimano hub through axle adapter for the Thule bike trailers.
