Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Maxle Hub Thru-Axle Fat Bike Adapter for the Thule bike trailers. Now, this part will let you tow a Tulie Cheetah , Cadence , Chariot or Coaster bike trailer with your fat bike that has the 12 millimeter Maxle Thru-Axle.This will work with the Thule 1-child and 2-child bike trailers. Basically this part here will replace the rear axle on your bike so that you can install the bicycle trailers, easy hitch bracket to your bike. That bracket will install right on this end.
You can see you just remove your nut and washer, put it on there, and then tighten it down. Now, this will include this Thru-Axle adapter with the washer and the lock nut, and this 12 millimeter spacer. Few specs on this. The thread pitch is M12 x 1.75 mm and the axle length, if we measure from here to the very end doing using millimeters, it's going to be right at 229 millimeters. And if you have too much thread sticking through on the other side of the bike, you can add this 12 millimeter spacer, and then that'll reduce the axle length to 217 millimeters. But that should do it for the review on the Maxle Hub Thru-Axle Fat Bike Adapter for the Thule bike trailers.
