Video Transcript for Flint Hill Goods Wheel Chock with Handle Review

Hey neighbors, it's Dustin here at E-trailer, and today I've got the Flint Hill Goods rubberized wheel chock. We're gonna take a look at some uses and show you what it's all about. This is a one piece rubberized molded wheel chock. It's gonna be four inches wide by six inches tall and eight inches long. The eight inches along the bottom here have a molded in grip to really help it bite into that ground to keep your trailer immobilized. Along the backside, there's an oversized grip, which makes it really easy to get it in place.

Now you're gonna wanna use this anytime you're leaving your trailer unattended. It's gonna help immobilize your trailer to prevent any rolling on uneven ground, or even if you're spending the night in your camper like we are here in our height camper, you don't want any of that rocking and rolling when you're moving around or sleeping. It's gonna be an uncomfortable night. This is gonna help keep things stable and much more comfortable for you and anyone along with you. Another great application is like in our enclosed trailer here when you're loading up cargo, the last thing you want is any extra rocking and rolling, so go ahead and if you're leaving it alone or if you're loading it up, go ahead and chock that wheel.

Now it is a unit of one, so pick up more than one if you'd like to chalk both sides or for multiple axle trailers. And that was a look at our Flint Hill Goods rubberized wheel chock.

Heavy duty

by:

Rock solid with substantial weight....these should last forever

by:

The quality is fantastic

by:

Have not actually used them yet but l can tell. That they are everything as advertised. Strong durable and just what l needed.

by:

Heavy duty was not dissatisfied with these !

by:

Controller is easy to use and works perfectly. Was a breeze to install and totally plug-and-play on my 2007 Tacoma using the optional harness. Completely satisfied. Only tip I would pass along to anyone using it for the first time… mine was set from the factory on the highest power setting. Make sure you back the power setting down low prior to adjusting it for your own tow vehicle brakes so you don’t lock up your trailer brakes initially.

by:

just what I needed, works on the gravel surface perfect!!

by:

What can I say? They work.

by:

I park my flat-bed trailer on a slight incline, before it would often roll off the tongue jack block sometime in the evolution. Now, with these inexpensive chocks, the trailer stays put.

by:

Have yet to try them out but they seem fairly heavy duty and the corrugated bottom looks as if it'll grip concrete, asphalt, dirt, gravel and sand pretty well. Problem is I have smooth red brick covering my entire driveway and I'm not so sure it's grippy enough to prevent this thing from sliding.

Problem with all chocks is their design makes them easy for a wheel to "push" thus negating the whole purpose of having a chock in the first place. Chocks should perhaps be designed differently - in two parts. The bottom part is flat and extends out from under the chock towards the wheel being chocked. As the wheel moves forward it "mounts" the flat part pinching it to the ground. The chock part should now attach mechanically in some way to the bottom thus providing a chock that will never move forward since it's pinned to the ground under the wheel.

As for removing the chock from the base when it's time to move, that's just a matter of twisting it off the base, moving the trailer forward to pick up the base.

this product is working fantasticits just like new quality products from e-trailer

I've had wheel chocks prior to these and these are by far the best I've ever used. I have to park my utility trailer on my driveway which has a grade and I am so confident when I merely tuck these under the wheels by hand and let the trailer push against them and stop cold and stay. Excellent product, excellent price. As always, etrailer is helpful and customercentric in every aspect.

by:

small yet compact and sturdy. Does not take up a bunch of room storing them. Quality, heavy rubber material should work good for my application

still have them and use them all the time. They are compact and store easily.

I’ve tried everything from scrap boards, big rocks, and cheap plastic chocks to hold my trailer in place on my driveway but inevitably they all failed for one reason or another. These solid rubber chocks “grab” my driveway and are tall enough to keep my trailer in place. I tried to pull away yesterday and thought I hadn’t released my parking brake but to my surprise I had forgot to remove the chocks from my trailer wheels. I consider these chocks a good purchase.

by:

Nice, solid, heavy wheel chocks; especially for the price. I was surprised how sturdy and durable they felt considering their cost, would have been at least 50% more locally. They are just what I needed for the small trailer I purchased them for, just take note of their width, be aware they are not very wide; you could put two side by side on a truck tire.

by:

Wow! I am impressed. When first looking for a set of chocks for my
newly-purchased fishing boat trailer, I was prepared to 'go cheap' and buy those 'orange, hard plastic, miniature chocks', but something made me opt for the man-sized ones....These chocks are PERFECT...they're heavy, quality-made, solid rubber...I AM REALLY
IMPRESSED with the product. Top top it off, eTrailer upgraded my shipping to 3-day delivery....great service and a great product.
Thank you, eTrailer.

The ribbed bottom and weight keeps it in place. The smaller size is perfect for storing a pair in my trailer tool box with the straps and chains.

by:

I had an older pair of chockes made of harder rubber, they had very little grip on smooth surfaces. I feared Id come back sometime and find the trailer stuck in the side of someones house or worse. I seen the mt7002 on etrailer Web, read the reviews & video saying they were softer & solid rubber. Called in the order and got them coming. Surprisingly ,they arrived in three and a half days. Tried them on friends steep drive ,they held the truck too.there very good!!! I've ordered from etrailer five or six times and must say there employees are very knowledgeable, polite & courteous .Packing is suburb !!!! Etrailer & employees rock !!!!!!!

by:

Item is just as advertised. A bit heavier than I expected and had an oily smell that took a week of outdoor ventilation to get rid of the smell.
Overall a quality made product that fits my needs exactly. The rubber type wheel chock will not slip on paved or concrete parking surfaces. Has an aggressive goove pattern on bottom that will work well on soft parking surfaces as well.

by:

Works great! When trailer tires lean against it makes it stable. It presses into the chock so when you want to remove it you have to move the trailer a little to get it loose.

by:

This is an extremely heavy duty wheel chock capable of keeping any large vehicle stationary. Made of durable hard rubber preventing slippage, and the handle makes it easy for placement and removal. I would recommend them for anyone towing full size trailers or vehicles.

by:

This is a great wheel chock. It is a lot more substantial than the cheaper, plastic versions. It feels solid when handling and does the job excellently. I have used the plastic ones before, but they are nowhere near as solid as this one.

I had read some other reviews about these having a rubber smell. Well they are rubber and they did smell initially, but this goes away and it was not a problem for me.

The FasTen RV Leveling Blocks w/ Carrying Handle # CAM44512 can definitely be used to help jack up your travel trailer but then you'll want to add some chocks like part # FHG97ZR on either side of your tires to help ensure your trailer won't start rolling. • Trailer Tire Chock Recommendation
I recommend the Flint Hill Goods Wheel Chock # FHG97ZR because it's a solid rubber construction and it features a grab handle which makes it easier to remove from under the trailer wheel than those that don't have a handle, and it just makes it easier to transport as well.
