Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Replacement Tab Assemblies. Now this is going to slide into your base plate and being the fact that these are removable, sometimes these can go missing, and these are obviously crucial to be able to hook up your tow bar. (indistinct) removable arms on a base plate, and that's really nice because when you're not towing your vehicle, you can take these out and it kind of brings it back to a little bit cleaner look, or a little bit more OEM. But the downside is, since they are removable, these can get lost or just misplaced. Or in the case of our neighbor today, they bought a vehicle that was previously set up to be flat towed, and seems like the person they bought it from forgot to give them the arms. Well, not to worry, you can pick these up and they're gonna be an exact, same exact arm as you would get with the base plate when you buy it.
Now there are a few different configurations available, so you're gonna wanna make sure that it matches the one that came with your base plate. Now this one is the short back with the short front. You can also get other configurations that are gonna be a little bit longer, so make sure you're getting the one that matches your base plate. Your arms are going to be a crucial part of your whole flat toe setup because without this, you're not gonna be able to tow at all because there's no way to attach your tow bar. So you can simply order the replacement, pop it in place, get your toe bar set up, and you'll be ready to hit the road.

Includes 2 tabs.The Blue Ox Short Front / Short Back attachment tabs fit perfectly on a 2008 New Beetle base plate that was installed when the car was purchased used. The etrailer information says the Short Front / Long Back tabs were the only ones compatible with the 2008 New Beetle Blue Ox base plate, but they were much too long. Based on my measurements, etrailer was able to ship me the short/short tabs and provided a return lable for the short/long tabs. I had to pay for the replacement tabs, plus shipping, before etrailer would send them. I was promised that the shipping cost ($6.99) would be credited once the order was processed. I am still waiting for that credit, plus credit for the original purchase price of the incorrect short/long Blue Ox tabs.
The customer service was excellent. We initially ordered the wrong parts. Our refund was prompt as well as sending the correct parts.

My family and I were mid-trip when we had a small accident bending our blueox attachment tab. E-trailer really came through and delivered the replacement part needed before we were set to depart to our next stop. The part arrived as expected with clear communication along the way. Highly recommend and will use them going forward for sure.
The review may be more against UPS that broke the package open and lost parts. etrailer sent replacement parts but I’m still missing nuts and bolts for the base plate.
etrailer has been great to work with but I’ll need to source some parts to finish.

Fit perfectly. I have a Blue Ox baseplate that came on the used Jeep I purchased. I bought the Roadmaster towing hitch to hook up to my RV and needed these tabs to make the connection. They are heaving and solid feeling. I will feel very comforable towing my jeep on roadtrips.
