Recommended Roadmaster Tow Bar to Blue Ox Base Plate Adapters
Question:
I use RM Sterling and Blackhawk tow-bars. I bought a Cruze with Blue Ox base plate with pins BLU57XR. I want to adapt Blue Ox pins to my RM tow-bars will BX88178 allow me to do this? The Blue Ox adapters that I bought couple weeks back are not what I want, nor can I use me RM tow-bars with my existing vehicles / base plates. Thank you

I have a solution for you but the Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster Adapter item # BX88178 is the opposite of what you need to use a Roadmaster tow bar with a Blue Ox base plate.
Instead you will want to use one of the following adapters. You're going to need to check the serial numbers on your tow bars to determine which is the correct one though.
RoadMaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain or Sterling Tow Bars to Blue Ox Brackets Adapter item # RM-031-5. These adapters work with Blackhawk 2 All-Terrain tow bar with a serial number above 16,500 and it works with Sterling tow bars with serial numbers above 14,501.
Roadmaster Tow Bar to Blue Ox Brackets Adapter item # RM-031. This works on Sterling tow bars with serial numbers up to 16,500 and Blackhawk tow bars.
