Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.
LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.
This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).
Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

The install was easy. The instructions do not address the fact that you should not allow the axle to hang on the air bags when the vehicle is on a lift or jack stands. I included pictures of the chains I made to support the weight of the axle when on my lift. Also a pro tip is to smear a small amount of Teflon thread sealant on the tube to lubricate and help the tube to seal in the fitting, I included pictures of the sealant applied.
Easy to install. Fit perfectly. I have ordered from E-Trailer numerous times and always very happy with them.
Awesome addition to my truck. First picture shows how much the truck was squatted, the second is after installation and is now level. Ride and drive are so much better. I installed myself with no special tools. Took about 2 hours. Instructions and videos on web site were a big help! Thanks etrailer!

Great product after a year and works like it did when I purchased it. Definitely purchase you’ll really improve your truck weight when pulling.
I purchased these for my 2018 Dodge 2500 that has jounce (coil) rear springs. I was concerned that the new 5th wheel (19,500 lb dry weight)I later purchased may be too heavy for the jounce springs and cause the vehicle to 'walk' on the road. I run 40 lbs of air in them which proves to be sufficient for my setup. The only issue I had was having to remove the wheels to get the bags between the axle and frame, which the instructions should have mentioned. No problems after one year of use.
I installed this kit on my 2016 Dodge Power Wagon to alleviate rear end sag when towing. Works like a charm.

I’m still very happy with this upgrade. I carry a hand pump and tire pressure gauge in my truck so I can vary the pressure as needed.
Bailey B was a terrific help. Recommended the right part for my truck and didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need. Listened to what I wanted to do with my truck and gave me a few options. Appreciated her knowledge and support. Would highly recommend and will surely buy from these folks again!
I purchased the air bags and wireless compressor for my 2021 Ram 2500. I occasionally tow a fifth wheel camper that is pretty much max payload for the truck. I wanted the truck to ride level and did not want to sacrifice the unloaded ride. These airbags definitely make the truck ride better when unloaded and I have no doubt they will make a huge difference which the FW in tow. In a couple of weeks I will be towing the FW about 700 miles round trip and will know more then. I haven’t even hitched it up since the install. The way Ram put the springs inboard a few inches more than the typical leaf springs are, these airbags go to the outside of the coil springs. Adding the airbags, it just makes sense that it would add stability to a factory setup like the Ram. The body roll is much less noticeable when unloaded. The steering is also more responsive and seems tighter. So I expect the control of the trailer will be much better as well.
E trailer was awesome. I initially ordered a single path compressor which would have suited my needs just fine however because Covid has so screwed up the supply chain, that unit was not in stock and was not expected for possibly a few months. I spoke with Matt who helped me upgrade to this unit for about $200 more. It is overkill but I didn’t have to wait. Matt told me that orders were typically several days In processing and that I would get my shipment in a couple of weeks. That was concerning due to my upcoming trip and wanting the airbags installed before the trip, but to my surprise, from order time to my front door was 4 days. I would recommend Etrailer to anyone. Also, it seems that no matter who answers the phone, they know what they are talking about. That is not common these days. I’m pretty sharp, so when I have a question I really don’t like getting dumb looks and i don’t knows.
I ordered the Air Lift 5000 from etrailer and I was very pleased with doing business with them. I normally order parts from someplace else but I will be using etrailer for all my future needs. The part was delivered on time and etrailer helped me make the right choice for my needs. Helpful, knowledgeable, timely, and provided the right part for the job; 5 stars from me for that.
Now onto the Air Lift 5000. I was amazed at how detailed the instructions were. They made it extremely easy to follow the instructions while building the assemblies. Probably one of the easiest part assemblies I have ever put on a truck and definitely the most detailed instructions I have ever seen. Everything bolted directly to stock mounts on the frame and no drilling was required. After getting everything mounted to the truck and installing the air lines, I was a little skeptical about the air line connections and I was afraid of leaks. I filled both air lines to 60 PSI after the install and when I checked the pressure this morning, I was still at 60 PSI.
The last thing I will cover is the ride. I have not towed my trailer yet but I am excited for when I do. I dropped the air pressure to 7 PSI this morning and took a 30 mile drive. The difference this part has made is unbelievable. It still rides like a truck but it is much stiffer in the back now when driving on rough roads which adds a huge difference to the ride quality. I can only imagine the difference I will experience when towing my 12k trailer.
Overall, I could not be more happy with my purchase. etrailer has 5 star customer service and they sold me a 5 star part.
Installed on 2018 Ram 2500. The product is made of quality construction and the instruction are straight forward.
All in all great product Bolts could be a better grade had one carriage bolt break, I've never or even heard of that happening to anyone before maybe a fluke. Hour and a 1/2 install even with carriage bolt breaking. Would be 5 star if that wouldn't have happened.
Installed on a 2020 ram 2500, made a huge difference in pulling my 39 ft toyhauler. Kit was easy to install and simple to adjust air pressure when needed. Recommend for anyone pulling large campers or loads.
My dodge 2500 would squat with heavy loads, and the drive was rough on the back. Easy install, keeping 20lbs psi in it. Drove the truck the ride is great. Outstanding.
Everything has held up with no leaks. I use the airbags about 20 times a year to help with a large fifth-wheel travel trailer my wife and I own.

Still Working Like a Champ!
E trailer did an amazing job getting the order processed and shipped very quickly and their videos really helped the install go smoothly. I have ordered many items and they have always done an amazing job in fit, function and support to help install the product.
Excellent instructors, well written, easy to understand, the photos helped a lot. This is the 2nd set of these airbags we have installed, one on our first truck & now on our newer truck. They work every well for towing. Highly recommend.

Still awesome for towing our Toyhauler!
Haven’t put the system to work with my 5th wheel yet but install was very simple and straight forward. Clocked about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish and that included time to sand blast and paint the upper and lower pieces black. Shipping was great as always!
Installed the kit myself and noticed a drastic improvement in chugging and movement of the trailer when I go over bumps. I usually run around 40psi pulling my 37 foot 14000 pound 5th wheel and at times I forget that I am pulling a trailer. When I upgrade my truck in the next three years I will be ordering another kit.
One thing that would be helpful is for the directions to mention that if your installing the upgrade hose kit that those fittings need to be installed before you mount the bags otherwise you have to pull everything back out to change over the fittings. Otherwise everything went smoothly.
Got the air bag helper springs quicker than amazon and the installation instructions were simple. Will be using etrailer again!

Working great. Have not had one issue. Bags dont loose any pressure. Truck sits and tows so much better.
