Does this compressor kit maintain the 5psi minimum without having to manually do it for the air lift 5000 air bags?

No, It does not because item # AL25804 is for air shocks but I have one that does. The Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs item # AL25592 has a minimum pressure setting of 5 psi which can be adjusted to 10 psi.

Yes, the silver button you see to the right of the gauge on the Air Lift Compressor part #AL25804 is used for releasing the air pressure in the air bags.
