The product info and installation video made this a quick and easy install. This installation did not require any special tools or tough installation and this will allow me to tow a small boat and trailer. Once the hitch was installed it looks great and professionally installed. Everything I needed to install it was included and the fish wire for the bolts is genius. I highly recommend this hitch and etrailer as well.

great with no modifications. It truly was a plug and play operation, requiring no changes to the basic vehicle, which means that it can be removed later without issues. It took a little more time to get installed than I had expected, but a lot of that was because of how particular I was on hiding

Javier hi, I would like to hear your experience regarding the hitch on a 2015 journey crossroad with the chrome bar on the back fender. My journey crossroad has it and I am afraid that it could be damaged by the hitch. Thanks for your comments regarding this matter.Manny.

Easy install! Use their [online video] and definitely don’t forget some sort of lubricant spray! When removing bumper gaskets, I used soapy water !
I was skeptical about installing this myself, but went for it. I was surprised on how easy the installation was. Fits great. The only thing that would make this kit better is a tool to remove exhaust hangers. The exhaust hangers were a pain without proper tool. Still I would purchase it again if necessary, and definitely recommend it.

Still looking great, now issues
I am very pleased with the hitch. Along with the hitch, I ordered the ball mount and the wiring harness. Delivery was on point.
I was going to have my mechanic install the hitch, but after watching your video a few times, I decided to tackle the job myself.
It did take me about three hours to complete the installation. Of course in your video, it's all done with a lift which I didn't have.
Followed the video and the installation came out great. Great product and video to referred to when needed.
Very satisfied with my hitch from etrailer. For someone who never installed one of these it was no problem. I did it in my driveway in about 2 hours. It is heavy duty for my boat or bicycles. The bike rack looks good hooked up. These guys were very prompt with delivery I think 3 days and it was at my front door. Now for a trip to Florida and some biking on those nice Florida trails.
Receiver fit into place with no issues. Only challenging part of the install was getting the muffler lowered since I had a hard time reaching the rubber isolators and getting them unhooked. Once that was out of the way the receiver went on fairly easily.

A year after installing and I have had zero issues with the hitch. Ive towed a couple boats, a [rental trailer] and regularly use a bed-box and bike rack on it and its worked great.
The hitch was more heavy duty and rugged than I expected. Took about an hour to install. All the hardware was there and everything lined up perfectly. The how to video for my make and model of vehicle really made installation easier. Differently would recommend e-trailers hitches.
The draw tite trailer hitch arrived in two days and in great shape. The installation only took 30 minutes and the video was very helpful. I knew exactly what to do when it arrived. I will definitely recommend etrailer to family and friends.
Good hitch not to bad to install took me and the wife about 3 hours to install the hitch and wiring for the trailer lights. ETrailer was very fast on shipping I ordered on Thursday and it was here the next day
The hitch receiver for my 2015 Dodge Journey was an easy addition with the kit etrailer provided. Not only was there how to video spot on it made assembly very easy.
Super fast shipping! Ordered Sunday, delivered Tuesday. The hardest part of the install was dropping the exhaust. Had to remove 6 exhaust hangers on 2011 Dodge Journey Lux. Took 1.5 hrs with about half being for the exhaust. Will certainly recommend etrailer.com to anyone in need and will purchase from them in the future.

It worked flawlessly!
Very well built! Deffinatly use the soapy water when taking loose the exhaust hangers it makes it very easy!! Had it on in less than 30 minutes.
This hitch fit perfectly. It did take me longer than expected, the exhaust hangers are really hard to get off - I used a 'wonder bar' and hammer. I did find one unexpected interference, though. There was a wiring harness and connector on the left side that had to be relocated an inch or so to keep from squishing it. The spare tire misses the hitch when lowered by something like an inch. Nice design!
This hitch will be exactly what we need to haul the golf cart around! Since this Dodge Journey has a 6 cylinder engine, it is rated at about 2500 lbs of tow weight, so we will be able to haul a bit more when needed.

Hitch is still hanging in there and has pulled some pretty fair loads. Looks good, too.
Great hitch! Easy install and looks great! We originally bought one off of Amazon and after 3 hours of fighting with it we realized it was too big even after Amazon said it was compatible with my vehicle. I have a 2016 Dodge Journey Crossroad. Very happy with our purchase!
Fit right in with just 4 bolts and your done. Sticks out a little too much past the bumper. But you don't have much room to work with since the spare tire is right there.
Hitch was delivered very promply. Installation was very easy, I didn't even jack up the car or put it up on ramps. Wireing kit was very easy to install. Hitch and wireing kit had everything needed, I didn't have to purchase anything else. E-trailer also provides videos with step by step installation on what ever car or truck you are installing hitch on. I installed mine on a 2012 Dodge Journey.

Incorrect product was in the box. Due to Covid and multiple times having it we could not get the product installed until June 2022. Upon attempting to install we found that the product was not what is needed for our 2017 Dodge Journey

Works as it should and is very sturdy, looks great too! unfortunately on my wife's 2011 dodge journey the 2 front holes weren't pre existing but drilling a hole is nothing. BUT my biggest issue with it is that both mufflers hit the hitch during any acceleration and causes an annoying vibrating sound, can't hear it outside the vehicle but definitely inside the vehicle. All in all it was a great purchase including the wiring harness. ALL WAS SUPER EASY!
Excellent product. Fit and finish is very good. Used to pull a utility trailer and 14' john boat. The application is perfect. The installation instructions supplied were spot-on.

Excellent!!!
I installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver on my 2012 Dodge Journey. Installation went well. We pulled a rental; motorcycle trailer and my Vulcan to the Poconos in PA and rode it around there. No issues.
The product was shipped in 3 days. I had very little trouble with the install because the instructions were very simple. Make sure to get lube for the bands holding the exhaust, the hardest part for me was getting those bands off. The only minor "issue" would be that the instructions included 4 washers and only 2 came with the package.
All in all you can not beat the price. I have a friend with a similar vehicle get the same products (Frame Hitch and wiring) installed by a trailer dealer and they were charged $500. My cost was some of my personal time and cost under $200.
Would highly recommend and this is coming from a guy who is not all that handy with tools.
Very good product and it was fairly simple to install by myself.
