Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this city water dish. This is going to replace one worn out or damaged city water check valve on your RV. This is made of a UV and impact resistant plastic, that is also going to resist road salts and acids, so it should hold up very well for you. Our brass valve here is lead-free with a half inch MPT fit in there to tie into your system. It does have the removable screen there to help filter out any large particulates that are coming in with your city water.
You can see it does have this rubbered cover to make sure that when we're not hooked up to city water, no dirt, debris, or anything is going to get in to our water supply. Very easy to plug that up and then remove that. We also have that little twist handle there to make it easier to get hooked up to our hose.Well, overall on dimensions, here, we're looking at right about four and three quarters of an inch in total diameter. Our cut out space that we're going to need to accommodate this is going to be right about three and a half inches. You're not going to want to go much wider than that because you do have these pre-drill mounting holes.
So if you we're to exceed that three and a half inches, you wouldn't have as much to grip onto with your screws. Now, the hardware to get this installed is not included. We do have a mounting kit here at etrailer.com, it's got screws and butyl tape to make sure that there is no water seeping in behind your dish here. So you can pick that up here at etrailer.com and that'll give you all the hardware and butyl tape that you need to get this installed. As far as our dish depth goes, we're looking at right about three quarters of an inch, maybe just slightly over that. Then for our total valve depth, it's going to be right about two and a half inches.
You can see this is the polar white color, so it should go well with your white exterior on your RV. If you're needing a new check valve water dish, I think this is going to be a great option for you. Plastic is going to be nice and rugged, and it's going to give you all the connections you need to make sure that you're getting water to your RV. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.
Thanks for watching.

Lead-free brass valve with 4-3/4" diameter plastic flange replaces the leaking check valve on your RV. Removable screen filter helps keep debris out of your water system. Flange fits a 3-1/2" diameter cutout.Over the years our City Water Inlet on our 21ft Tow Lite camper had gotten worn out. This replacement had the plastic flange size needed for the recessed mounting required and good quality features my original unit did not have including a large swivel knob to help with hose attachment. Installation was straight forward and took about 30 minutes. Looks good and really improved this aspect of our camping hook up needs.
