Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Generators - 333-330717003

Today we're going to take a look at the high altitude jet for the 3,200 watt e-trailer generator. I'm going to zoom in here because it's so small, just to show you what that jet would look like. And it also comes with the fuel cup seal. Now, this high altitude jet will allow your e-trailer generator to run more efficiently when it's at an altitude of 6,000 to 8,000 feet about sea level. It'll improve the fuel flow of fuel at the higher altitudes, where the air is a lot thinner. It is designed to work with the 3,200 gas inverter generators, with the manual start, and also with the remote start. All of those generators we do sell separately on our website. Again, this application is for the e-trailer generators with the 171cc engines.

It's for altitudes of 6,000 to 8,000 feet and it includes the jet, the fuel cup seal and a nice set of directions on how to install it.But that should do it for the review on the high altitude jet for the 3,200 watt e-trailer generators.

  • Will High Altitude Jet # FIR77FR Fit the 171cc Firman W02981?
There are some solutions for your problem, but the High Altitude Jet # FIR77FR is for dual-fuel generators only. I contacted Firman, and they recommended # 333-330717003 for use with your W02981 generator. This is listed for use at 6,000' - 8,000', but this is not a hard cutoff. Since you're only 400' higher, you shouldn't have any issues, but Firman recommends you periodically check the spark plug and spark arrestor to make sure there is not excess carbon build up. • Using Generators to Power RV At High Altitudes
When you get to higher elevations (typically right in the range where you recently camped - 6,000 to 8,000 feet above sea level) generators do have a tougher time running efficiently due to a few factors but mainly because the lower oxygen density requires more airflow for the mix of air and fuel. Many generators are indeed compatible with separate "high altitude" kits that allow them to run to the best of their ability in this environment. We don't currently carry Yamaha generators so...

  • High Altitude Jet Recommendation for etrailer.com Generators
The high altitude jets need to be only used when you are at a higher altitude. Once you come back to a lower altitude you'd need to go back to the standard jets. Instructions are included. We do carry the jets on our site now as part # 333-330717003. The cost is below at the attached link. Carbureted engines can run really well when jetted properly, but the downside is that they have be re-jetted if there's a drastic elevation change. So if you are at a high elevation the stock jets will...

  • High Altitude Kit for 6,000 feet for etrailer Generator # 333-0003
The number on the jets of the high altitude jet kits like the part # 333-330717003 for the etrailer generator # 333-0003 represents the amount of air that passes through it. This is the correct kit for your altitude of 6,035 feet.

  • Does Generator That Can Run On Gas and Propane Require High Altitude Jets with Propane Source
I checked with Firman and they indicated that when you are using a generator with propane as a fuel source you don't typically end up needing to use the high altitude jet kits. They said to go ahead and try it without and that you'd most likely find that you are totally fine with out. If you hear popping that would indicate it's running too lean which is what the high altitude jets would compensate for.

  • Using etrailer.com 3,200-Watt Generator at 9,000+ Foot Elevation
For your etrailer.com 3,200-Watt Inverter Generator # 333-0003 we do have the High Altitude Jet # 333-330717003, which is designed to allow efficient generator performance at higher elevations. This is the highest elevation kit available for this particular generator. When using any generator at high altitudes the potential issue comes as a result of the lower air density. This causes reduced engine power because the air mass and air-fuel ratio decreases. The high altitude jet offsets...
