High Altitude Jet Recommendation for etrailer.com Generators

Question:

I recently purchase etrailer 6,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generators - 5,500 Running Watts - Parallel Kit - Gas - Remote from you, and am planning a few trips in high altitude soon. I saw in the QandA section that you offer high altitude jets Part number 330717003. According to the QandA, this was not available in the store yet, and it was recommended eTrailer.com be contacted directly. I have a few questions about this as I am not very knowledgeable about engines and generators in general: 1 What is the cost of these jets I will need two I assume? 2 Can I leave the jets on, after install, and use the generators normally in lower altitudes as well we camp year round. 3 Is the install relatively easy, or should I take it to a local mower shop for install? Does ordering the jets come with instructions as well? 4 How can I order them if the part isnt available in your online store yet

The high altitude jets need to be only used when you are at a higher altitude. Once you come back to a lower altitude you'd need to go back to the standard jets. Instructions are included. We do carry the jets on our site now as part # 333-330717003. The cost is below at the attached link.

Carbureted engines can run really well when jetted properly, but the downside is that they have be re-jetted if there's a drastic elevation change. So if you are at a high elevation the stock jets will make the generator run richer and may foul plugs. If you run the high elevation jets at low elevations the engine will run lean which can cause damage to the motor.
