There is an a adapter # 1500050552 that was designed to allow you to mount the now discontinued Thule ProRide Roof Mounted Bike Rack to Thule's SquareBars however with this rack being NLA I don't see the benefit of using it.
Instead, what I recommend you do is use the Thule UpRide Roof Bike Rack - Wheel Mount - Clamp On or Channel Mount # TH599000 which can be mounted on both your WingBars as well as your SquareBars without the need for an adapter.
This bike rack will clamp onto your... view full answer...

You are going to need a 7-Way connector to be able to use the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller item # c51180 on your 2021 Volkswagen Atlas. If your Atlas came with a 4-flat connector all you will need is the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 12 Gauge Wires item # ETBC7L. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your Atlas with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing... view full answer...
We do have what you're looking for to be able to install a 7 way plug on your 2011 VW Tiguan, and the base of all wiring starts with the 4 way connector; I recommend using the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236, which will give you a 4 way trailer connector that you'll need to start. Once you've installed that, you'll want to choose between the # ETBC7 for wired brake controllers or the # ETBC7L, which is used for wireless brake controllers or... view full answer...
You can certainly add a brake controller to a 2009 VW Passat but you may not need to. We normally recommend a brake controller if the gross trailer weight is 50 percent or more of the vehicle weight. Since the Passat does not have that high of a towing capacity (check the owners manual for exact numbers) it may not ever reach as high as 50 percent of the vehicle weight.
But if you want to go ahead and install a brake controller you will first need to install a 4-Way wiring harness using... view full answer...
You don't need to pull any fuses when flat towing your 2014 Volkswagen Jetta so a fuse bypass isn't necessary, but I will say that if you will be using a braking system that pulls power from your vehicle battery you'll want to add the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to keep your battery from draining.
For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter.... view full answer...
From the pictures I have of your 2012 Trails West 2 trailer, it is a dual axle trailer. If this is the case, each wheel maximum weight capacity has to be a minimum of 1,625 if the gross vehicle weight rating is at 6,500 pounds. This is because each wheel capacity contributes to the overall weight capacity of the trailer. It is important to note that the tires should be rated for the actual gross towing weight capacity of the trailer and not the empty weight of the trailer. The gross towing... view full answer...

I have a solution for you but EcoHitch does not make a hitch receiver for any 2009 Volkswagen Jetta model. I checked with Ecohitch they did not start making hitch receivers for the Jetta SportWagen model's until 2010 and the Jetta sedans until 2015. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11474. This hitch receiver is a confirmed fit for the TDI models. It has a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs and maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs. This is a class 1 hitch with a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver... view full answer...
Thule used to offer an adapter to allow their roof-mount bike racks to attach to factory roof racks like that on your 2008 Volkswagen Jetta but they no longer do, so a new rack will be your best option and we can help you to choose one. Avoiding an adapter will also help reduce the overall height of the vehicle with the bike loaded.
The linked article will help you consider the best rack type for your particular bike, and the linked product page will let you see all carrier options which... view full answer...
In order to flat tow your 2006 Volkswagen Beetle TDI, you will first need to install base plates. The base plates for your vehicle are Roadmaster EZ Base Plates, # 521231-1. You would then need a compatible tow bar like RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar, # RM-020, and Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit, # RM-201, to be able to remove the detachable arms on the base plates. I have included a link to the installation details for the tow bar for reference.
To complete the towing set up for... view full answer...
You are correct that the Curt Q-series hitches cannot be used with a Sidewinder or any pin box that rotates. This is because of the spherical axial bearing for the pivoting head.
For an air ride coupler I suggest the 5th Airborne Premium # RP78FR. The 5th Airborne has an air spring for a high-quality, comfortable ride. view full answer...
A high-low adapter like the Roadmaster Adapter # RM-076 that you referenced is designed for use with a flat towing setup, but I do have a solution for you to tow your trailer level with your 2018 Volkswagen Atlas.
If the 10-1/2 inch measurement that you took of the hitch receiver on your Atlas is from the ground to the top of the inside of your 2 inch receiver, like the Curt # C13366, then you will need a ball mount that has at least a 5 inch rise as rise and drop measurements typically... view full answer...
Assuming that your tow bar is manufactured by Roadmaster, and already has safety cables, the only other item besides the # 521227-1 base plate kit is wiring for the tail lights of the VW.
There are three options for wiring your VW for flat towing. You can go with a temporary system, like a magnetic mount part # RM-2120. These systems are easy to install and remove quickly, and remain completely independent of the towed vehicles wiring system.
Another option would be the RoadMaster Tail... view full answer...
For your 2017 Volkswagen Passat I recommend going with the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly w/ Disc Brakes - Tilt Bed Frame # DM9713093.
This tow dolly has plenty of capacity to be able to handle the weight of your Passat at 4,800-lbs, a tilting bed frame which is great for unloading and loading your toad, and also has a disc braking system and a E-Z latch surge brake coupler so you don't need to buy a 7-way or brake controller. view full answer...
In order to find the correct ball mount you need to know the size of the trailer hitch receiver on your 2018 Volkswagen Atlas and the correct rise or drop you need for each trailer. From my research the Atlas's factory hitch is a 2 inch Class III receiver.
To find the rise or drop you need with each trailer park the Atlas on level ground and measure from the ground to the top of inside the receiver's opening. Then park each trailer on level ground and measure from the ground to the bottom... view full answer...
For your 2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI with a Yakima BaseLine tower roof rack installed you can use their lock core kit # Y07204. This set includes 4 lock cores, two standard keys and the control key you will use to install the cores in your BaseLine towers # Y28TR.

To add a 7-way to your 2022 Volkswagen GTI there are a couple parts you will need:
- Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
You will first install the 4-flat, which will activate your trailer's lighting functions, and you'll then plug that into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7, which also gives you the wiring, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for installation. view full answer...
To flat tow a vehicle you will need 5 items: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking. You will also want to consult the vehicle owners manual for specific information on flat towing the 2003 Volkswagen New Beetle.
