We don't carry a connector, but you can get the parts needed to easily build one from your local VW dealer.
You'll need one of VW part number # 1J0-972-782 which is the connector housing and 2 of part # 000-979-228 which are wire/terminal assemblies. The slots on the housing are numbered 1-4, and once the connector is assembled, it would connect to the pigtail included with your Redarc # RED44FR Tow Pro Elite as follows:
• White Pigtail wire connects to wire in slot 1
• Black Pigtail... view full answer...

If your 2016 Volkswagen Touareg came from the factory with trailer wiring already in place, then it is possible that there is a connector on that wiring to allow installation of a trailer socket. Please review the linked image of a round U.S. Car type connector. If this is what you have on the vehicle you can use part # HM40975.
If instead you have bare wires, then use part # HM40975-11998 which includes the socket plus a wiring harness with connector to splice into the factory wires.... view full answer...
From the pictures I have of your 2012 Trails West 2 trailer, it is a dual axle trailer. If this is the case, each wheel maximum weight capacity has to be a minimum of 1,625 if the gross vehicle weight rating is at 6,500 pounds. This is because each wheel capacity contributes to the overall weight capacity of the trailer. It is important to note that the tires should be rated for the actual gross towing weight capacity of the trailer and not the empty weight of the trailer. The gross towing... view full answer...

If your 2004 Volkswagen Touareg does not have a factory trailer connector at the rear then brake controller installation will require you to first install a 4-pole flat wiring harness like # 118509 and then to use our brake controller install kit # ETBC7 which contains all parts you'll need except for the controller itself. You can then install a controller like the highly-rated Prodigy P2 # 90885 or the P3 # 90195.

I may have a solution for you, but there's not an adapter for anything like this. However, the Curt Echo # C51180 is only 6-5/8" long, and about 1-1/2" of that will be inserted into the factory 7 way plug on your 2013 VW Touareg. I also don't recommend leaving this connected when it's not in use- mostly for security reasons, and so the opportunities for this to actually bottom out will be limited.
With that said, you could re-mount the 7 way plug using a new bracket like the Mounting Bracket... view full answer...
