It sounds like you have the red wire on the brake controller connected in the wrong spot or to the wrong wire on the vehicle. The wires on the truck will not match up color for color to the brake controller wires. The tow package red wire connects to the black brake controller wire. Dark blue on truck goes to blue on the brake controller. Light blue on truck goes to red on the brake controller. And white will connect to white.

The black cable on the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Kit # RM-76517 should be running to the negative side of the fuse terminal. If you're getting power on the black wire then you have it attached to the positive side of the fuse terminal which would be incorrect. The running lights are on a different pin than every other wire on your trailer. It is very likely that you have some corrosion on the running light pin at your trailer connection. Use a little sandpaper or steel wool to clean the pins and then use a little dielectric grease like # 11755 to keep the pins from corrosion. Also check your ground wire on your trailer to make sure it is a bare metal to metal connection free of corrosion, rust, and debris.

The most similar bike rack we have to the Thule T2 part you referenced that is approved for the rougher ride quality at the rear of a fifth wheel trailer is the Yakima OnRamp part # Y36FR. I spoke with my contact at Curt about your Curt Q16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # C16120, and he said a little play is to be expected in order for the pin to rotate freely. So the jaws should not fit too tightly around the king pin. The jaws are operated by springs. The first time you used your 5th wheel hitch the springs may have been a little stiff. If both the 12V and trailer brake circuits on your 7-way have failed at or about the same time the most likely culprit is a corroded or damaged 7-way socket. You can inspect it for any signs of even very slight greenish or whitish discoloration on the contact surfaces. Check both sides of the 7-way. As you probably know, adding LED lights can cause a hyperflash problem with turn signals. You would need to add a load resistor like # DI34ZR to every light that was changed to LED. I tried looking up the fuse locations for your 2014 GMC 3500 Savana and I wasn't able to locate any fuses dedicated to a brake controller. If your brake controller isn't getting power, and you have tested the power wiring using a circuit tester # PTW2993, I do have a solution for you still.

Once an overload condition has ceased then the circuit breaker should reset itself. It is mounted on the outside of jack # UF38-944017 but should not need any persuasion to reset.
