This can be a fairly common issue with trailers that have LED lights being towed with a vehicle that also uses LED lights. It sounds like the running light pin is not providing enough power for the three cameras. You might need to introduce the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter w/ Power Switch for Furrion RV Observation Camera, part # FR87PR, into your electrical system. It is designed to connect the trailer wiring from your tow vehicle's 7-way trailer connector. It will provide your cameras extra power. Because an exhaust system is meant to move on its hangers, it does not sit in a fixed position, and this position can vary a bit from vehicle to vehicle. You are going to have to find a way to hold the nutsert so that you can remove the bolt and try again. It's a pretty tricky situation getting that bolt setup right but you have to do it just like the install instructions and video show.
If you push hard enough on the hitch up into the nutsert you should be able to get the hitch to hold it tight enough to the frame to prevent it from moving so that you could remove the bolt. view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Trailer Valet and she said that what you described sounds like a lack of lubrication which is causing the sound you are describing. You will want to remove the gear cover and lubricate all the moving parts with an emphasis on the chains and the noise should go away.

It sounds like the shock is worn out in your coupler and it is no longer functioning as a dampener to allow the coupler to return slowly and that is the clanking sound you are hearing.

The Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 that you referenced is designed to go to sleep after 15 minutes of no activity. You should note that even opening the door to your vehicle will wake it back up. The converter is designed to provide circuit protection, to isolate any shorts from the vehicle wiring. In this instance, it served its purpose perfectly by blowing its internal circuit breaker before anything on the vehicle could be damaged. The LED taillights often have this hyperflashing issue. To solve it, you simply need to add a load resistor like # DI34ZR. You will need one resistor for each side and this kit comes with 2. That is not normal operation for the Prodigy RF brake controller # TK94FR. The likely issue is the sensitive nature of the tow package wiring on the 2011 BMX X5. But what you can use is use adapter # C57003 which will maintain more load on the electrical system so that all of the signals running through the RF have a high enough voltage/amperage for it to work properly.

Yes, when the electric signal is sent from the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 to the trailer's brakes, it should cause both sides to lock up.
