Question:
I installed SHT25002 in 2014 bmw 3 wagon 328xi. My trailer wiring control module doesnt seem to get any power, no light comes on on the module so I cant tell if it on, How can I test. I pulled the supplied 20 amp fuse, started the car and got 13.4V so I thinks it getting power. I am dead in the water, please help. I ordered it from you about two weeks ago.

Thank you very much for your purchase from etrailer of the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring for Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # 391CONVA7 as we are always happy to try and help our customers. For this issue with your BMW, there are a number of issues that could be occurring, and you mentioned testing, and it sounds like you have already tested the power wire from the battery into the module.
Assuming you have and it is indeed receiving power, use Circuit Tester # PTW2979 to find if the signals are going into the control module. If not, check that wiring and the connections made with your vehicle's wiring to ensure they are seated and wired to the proper lights. It's also very important to check your ground connections; poor grounds can lead to all sorts of issues including what you are experiencing so definitely take a look at that.
Otherwise, the module could have been bad and will need to be replaced.
