  • Are Load Resistors Needed on a 2010 Nissan Rouge when Installing LED Blinkers
  • Yes, you will need a Load Resistor, item # DI34ZR, at at least two lights that you plan to install on your 2010 Nissan Rouge, if after installing the LED blinkers you have a hyperflash situation. If you still have hyper flash with two resistors installed you will need to install 2 more resistors at the other lights. You should install the LED blinkers first to determine if the resistors are required on your vehicle. You will not need to calculate the Ohms, the resistor is built to build...

  • Does a Wire Have to Be Run to the Battery to Install the Curt Trailer Harness # C56033
  • We understand your laziness, routing a wire from the rear of a vehicle to the battery seems a bit involved considering how easy the rest of the wiring harness part # C56033 install is. But you have to do it. If you don't run the power to the battery you could overdraw the circuit you attach it to and blow the fuse or even potentially damage the circuit. I attached an FAQ article to the right with some tips on routing the power wire that you should find informative.

  • Does Installation of Hitch 75902 on 2018 Nissan Rogue Affect Rear Lift Gate Sensors
  • When a hitch like # 75902 is installed on a vehicle that has multiple rear bumper lift gate sensors usually it is only the center one that might be affected by the presence of the hitch tube. In practical terms all this means is that the liftgate function will need to be activated via one of the other sensors on the bumper. So instead of triggering the lift function by waving your foot near the center sensor as we'd all typically do, you'll simply do this near one of the others. I know...

  • Does Draw Tite Hitch # 75902 Fit 2019 Nissan Rogue and Allow Liftgate Sensor Access
  • The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75902 is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Nissan Rogue. Based on its design, it will not change the tail gate lift sensor. You will still be able to utilize that feature to the left or right of the center receiver tube.

  • Does the Black Wire Have To Be Connected To Battery On Curt Harness for 2008 Nissan Rogue
  • The correct Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for a 2008 Nissan Rogue is part # C56033. The black wire must be connected to the battery as that is what provides power to the tail lights on the trailer which is how it is able to isolate itself from the vehicle in the event of a short. This has nothing to do with whether or not the trailer has brakes.

  • Can a Bike Rack be Used on the End of the Surco Cargo Carrier # 52018F
  • You cannot add bike racks to the back of a cargo carrier. I would recommend the # CC-100 carrier and then add the # CC-125 bike adapter to it. Another option, you could add a roof bike rack. If you are interested in some roof mounted cargo carriers or bike racks, let me know and I would be happy to make some recommendations. I would just need the year, make and model of your vehicle and the type of roof rack you have (factory roof rack with crossbars, factory side rails or a bare roof).

  • Can Power Wire on Trailer Wiring Harness be Wired to Separate 12 Volt Battery Instead of Car Battery
  • Technically you could wire a powered trailer wiring harness such as # C56033 to a separate 12 volt battery. However, without an alternator to maintain the charge of the battery, the trailer lights would drain the battery and you would not know it. It will also void the harness warranty. Because of this I strongly advise against this method of installation. The harness should always be connected to the vehicle battery and not any other power source. Routing the power wire is not all that...

  • How Long Can the Superwinch # 1450200 Run Before Needing to Cool Off
  • I checked with Superwinch and for the winch part # SW1145220 they state Remember, the winch is for intermittent use only. During long or heavy pulls the motor will get hot. For pulling at rated capacity, allow motor to cool after 20 seconds of “On” time. At loads less than 50% of rated capacity, allow to cool after 2 minutes of “On” time. KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY during this break.

  • Is Loc Tite Required When Installing Draw Tite Hitch on 2013 Nissan Rogue
  • When the install hardware of the Draw Tite hitch part # 75902 is installed and torqued to spec you wouldn't necessarily need to use Loc Tite 242 # LT37418, but it wouldn't hurt anything so if it give you some peace of mind then go for it. If the hardware has already been torqued though you shouldn't remove it and reinstall it as the hardware is considered one-time-use since the bolts stretch when torqued. Removing the hardware would require you to replace all of it.

  • How to Connect RV Oval Porch and Utility Light to a Trailer Battery
  • On porch light # RVPL7C the white wire is the ground and will need to attach to a clean metal surface. The black wire is the power wire. You can use some automotive wire to go from the light to the battery. Once at the battery you could use something like the battery terminal # DW05312. There are a couple of studs on this terminal and you could place a ring terminal on the end of the wire, remove a stud, then put the wire over the stud and thread it back into place. If your battery already...

  • Wiring Harness Troubleshooting For 2018 Nissan Rogue
  • It is very odd that only the third brake light on your Rogue would be acting up after installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118480; it really should not be possible that only the third brake light is having an issue. I contacted the manufacturer about this and was told they have never heard of anything like this happening. They recommended disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for about 5 minutes to reset any module that could have...

  • Is Stabilization Strap Required for Curt Trailer Hitch on a 2018 Nissan Rogue
  • Yes. Curt does require stabilization strap # 18050 when using trailer hitch # C13204 for anything other than a trailer. Only one strap is required but you can use more than one if you wanted to. Or you could avoid having to use straps completely and install Draw-Tite hitch # 75902. Draw-Tite does not have any sort of strap requirement like Curt does.

  • Do Appearance Panels Get Re-Installed on 2017 Nissan Rogue When Putting On etrailer Trailer Hitch
  • The plastic parts are just "appearance" panels, and won't be re-installed after putting the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch # E98846 on your 2017 Nissan Rogue. These panels do not serve any specific function for your Rogue and as such can be put aside after installing the hitch. As you can see from the accompanying photo of the hitch installed on a '17 Rogue, they don't won't affect the overall appearance of your car (save for someone going underneath it). If you plan on using this hitch for...

  • Is the Swagman Titan Bike Rack Good for Long Distance Trips
  • As long as the bikes are within the 75 pound (35 pound per bike) capacity of the Swagman Titan bike rack # S63400 it will work great for long or short trips. So no worries! If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.

  • Can 12V Outlet In Rear Of 2014 Nissan Rogue Be Used For Wiring Harness Power
  • We do not recommend using the 12 volt power outlet in the rear area of your 2014 Nissan Rogue when connecting a circuit protected wiring harness like part # C56033 because it has a higher rated fused circuit that could allow more power to be drawn through the wiring harness and potentially damage either the harness or the vehicle. This harness has not been tested with the installation using the rear power source and could void the warranty. I have attached a link to an installation video...

  • Can Hitch Be Removed At A Later Date On A Leased 2012 Nissan Rogue
  • We do offer trailer hitches that are designed to fir your 2012 Nissan Rogue. The tow hook is also removed when installing the hitch. These items can be reinstalled when the hitch is removed at a later date. No drilling is required...
