Installing The Replacement Upper Claw Base With Brass Nut For Yakima RailGrab Towers

Tried to replace this part but somehow can not figure out where the Brass nut goes in relation to the black claw tightener and the claw base

On the Replacement Upper Claw Base with Brass Nut for Yakima RailGrab Roof Rack Towers - Qty 1 # Y8880279, the brass nut will go into a slot on the top of that assembly. I reached out to my contact at Yakima to confirm. I've attached a photo to help.
